Nanyang Assistant Professor (NRF)

The  School of Biological Sciences (SBS) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore), invites brilliant researchers in the fields of Cell Biology and Endosomal Membrane Dynamics to apply for the position of Nanyang Assistant Professor. Candidates should have a proven track record in molecular and cell biology, membrane biology, protein trafficking, endosomal membrane dynamics and its impact to diseases.

The candidates are expected to:

•  Establish a world-class research program,

•  Enhance the School’s visibility as an international leader in education and research

•  Teach undergraduate and graduate courses

•  Actively collaborate with NTU faculty and researchers

Responsibilitles:

•  Conduct world-class high-quality innovative research in terms of publishing top-tier papers, presenting at international conferences, securing competitive research grants,  and  supervising research personnel

•  Contribute to teaching and course development at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as related activities such as academic supervision of undergraduate and graduate students, and projects

•  Undertake administrative and/or leadership roles, and contribute to other service-related activities assigned by the school and university.

Requirements:

•  PhD in Biological sciences or a related discipline and post-doctoral experience from a world class institution

•  Outstanding record of research and relevant publications in highest level peer-reviewed international journals

•  A good track record in supervising research staff, postdocs and students, in relevant fields

•  Experienced in cross-disciplinary research initiatives and collaboration
