Reporting to the Head (ARO), the Manager / Senior Manager is responsible for supporting the Division's efforts in grants management and SIT’s applied research efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- To perform various tasks in the grant submission to project award process – launch grant call, administrative checks on proposals, work with grantors, facilitate faculty in project implementation, performance monitoring, facilitating claims / audits and others.
- To assist in providing leadership and strategic direction to the Grants Administration team.
- To assist on enhancing the framework and governance aspects of grant management and to communicate them to key stakeholders.
- To assist in planning and leveraging on IT applications to support the applied research efforts of SIT and grant management.
- To work with key stakeholders (i.e. HR, CIT, FIN and Academic staff) on streamlining processes and facilitate applied research efforts.
- To assist in running the day-to-day operations of the division, initiating and implementing process improvements and managing staff.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Science, Business or equivalent with at least 10 years of working experience. Out of this working experience, at least 5 years are in management and leadership position.
- Good leadership skills with track records in project management, change management and stakeholder management.
- Strong experience in grant management at both organisation and national level.
- Experience in IT framework for grants submission, management and reporting.
- A committed believer in continuous learning and self-improvement, with a strong sense of confidence in managing his/her own learning process.
- Hands-on and self-motivated team player.
- A high energy goal-getter that works well with colleagues.
- Client facing experience, highly articulate with good administrative and interpersonal skills.
