Short Description
The University Campus Infrastructure (UCI) cluster of offices is helmed by the Vice President (Campus Infrastructure). The UCI team ensures that the campus infrastructure supports teaching and learning, as well as augments the campus experience for the community. As UCI looks to rejuvenate the campus into one that is smart, safe and sustainable, these efforts remain aligned with NUS’ vision of becoming a leading global university that educates, inspires and transforms.
We believe that the way to transformative change is through the uncommon combination of disciplines, technologies, people. This role will support the implementation of smart campus initiatives managed by the UCI cluster to promote adoption of relevant building technologies in new and existing developments through integrative design processes.
Job Description
Digital and Smart Design Development
• Lead and assist in the development of the assigned Project’s Program in consultation with the stakeholders and the project consultants and contractors.
• Assist the integrative design team in the appointment of other necessary consultants relating to the various trades and disciplines required for the project.
Design Management
• Lead and assist the integrative design team in the design development process to achieve the projects time, cost and value objectives.
• Reviewing in collaboration with the Client and Consultant, the adequacy of the development plan.
• Monitor all necessary applications for planning and implementation approvals with respective stakeholders.
• Monitor design work progress and liaison between stakeholders, consultants, and contractors.
• Monitor project’s overall master program and cost and convene special meetings amongst consultants/contractors for program and budget tracking purposes.
Contract Documentation
• Assist in tender preparation and project documentation works when necessary
• Monitor and track project provisions with contract documentation
Contract and implementation Management
• Ensure quality and compliance on all contracted scope and objectives and all were delivered timely according to contractual provisions.
Post Construction Management
• Ensure receipt of all necessary as-built project documentation such as as-built drawings and O&M manuals and all guarantees and warranties by the consultants/contractors to the stakeholders for proper project closure.
Qualifications
• University Degree in Engineering or related fields in the built environment as recognized by BCA
• 3-5 years of project management with at least 2 years in the field of construction-architecture-and-engineering
• Advantageous to be PMP certified and have prior experience in implementing cutting-edge green sustainable technology and digital solutions
• Good knowledge of built environment project implementation stages from design to construction and post construction management
• Competent in manpower, budget and project risk mitigation planning
• Familiar with Singapore’s Codes of Practices and Regulations for the built environment
• Exceptional time management and organization skills
• Result-driven and thrive in fast-paced environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze and synthesize complex issues quickly and propose counter measures to settle the issues
