Manager, Office of International Engagement

The Office of International Engagement facilitates NTU’s international activities and fosters international relations. Working in our cohesive dynamic team, you will lead international relations and strategy for a regional portfolio, using your communication skills to develop relations with international partners, organising and following up on high impact programmes for senior visitors, writing country/organisational reports for internal and external parties, maintaining relations with Embassies, reporting to Singapore’s ministries, and leading events. You will support the creation and implementation of administrative and strategic processes to support NTU’s internationalisation strategies.
Responsibilities

  • Manages a regional portfolio as identified, developing regional strategies
  • Fosters and develops partnerships and networks to support institutional priorities
  • Manages NTU’s participation in assigned university level alliances
  • Evaluates programmes and activities regarding international cooperation.
  • Analyses and interprets international policies, issues and legislation, as well as the activities of governments, businesses, and higher education institutions overseas and domestically.
  • Identifies, collates and analyses data from relevant units within the University and the market; prepares analysis reports as assigned.
  • Manages NTU’s international related agreements as assigned.
  • Manages international events including hosting high level visitors
  • Supports the development of NTU’s engagement with strategic partners and alliances as assigned from time to time
  • Performs administrative and office support activities as assigned, including but not limited to the review of office operations and operating procedures to improve efficiencies and transparency
  • Creates and modifies various documents using Microsoft Office.
  • Prepares meeting materials and assists with the development of PowerPoint presentations.
  • Records minutes at various meetings and archives them accordingly.
  • other duties as may be assigned from time to time based on the OIE operations and needs.

Requirements:

  • A good University degree in a relevant discipline such as International Relations, Public Relations, Business, Economics, Communication, etc.
  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in networking and/or developing relations with companies and organisations in an international environment, with an understanding of business culture. An established network of contacts overseas is considered an advantage.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a managerial role.
  • Experience in an academic/research institution setting will be advantageous.
