A recognised leader in innovation and technology, the College of Engineering (CoE) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) comprises five internationally renowned schools, each with its own specialisation.

The Role:

We are looking for a Manager, Marketing and Events, to join the Outreach and Marketing Communications team at the College of Engineering. You will play an important role in conceptualising, planning and organising of the College’s promotional and outreach events and activities.

You will lead and manage the full spectrum of administrative and operational support (pre-event to post-event) for the outreach events. You will also perform post-event reporting and analysis of the outreach events, to further refine and improve future events to achieve the outreach objectives of the College. In your course of work, you will be required to manage and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth and successful delivery of the events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualise, plan and execute promotion and outreach activities and events to ensure smooth and successful operation. This will involve the collaboration and coordination with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Develop and oversee the budgets, plans, timelines and priorities, including administrative and operational requirements of the events and activities.

  • Oversee and monitor event budgets and expenses and provide timely and accurate updates and reports on adjustments and progress for submission and approval.

  • Develop and oversee publicity and marketing campaigns to promote the events. This includes the utilisation of digital and social media tools and platforms.

  • Oversee and manage the full spectrum of administrative and operational tasks (pre-event to post-event) for outreach activities and events to ensure smooth and successful execution of events. This includes areas such as coordination with stakeholders and vendors, purchases, logistics, marketing communications, publicity, development and design of event collaterals and social media content, collation of information and data, etc.

  • Oversee the preparation and maintenance of proper records of design assets, purchases, expenditure, payment to student helpers, documentation related to the events, etc.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business/Marketing/Event Management.

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in marketing, event management or outreach. Knowledge of the higher education market in Singapore is beneficial.

  • Proficiency in design, photo and video editing software such as Adobe suite and Canva is advantageous.

  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, combined with the ability to effectively set priorities and goals and manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure deadlines and objectives are met.

  • Possess supervisory skills with strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and collaborate with stakeholders of various levels.
