Job Description

The Quantum Engineering Programme (QEP) (www.qepsg.org ) funds research and supports ecosystem building to bring quantum technologies to solve the challenges of end-users. Its work spans quantum sensing, quantum communication and security and quantum computing. The programme was launched in 2018 by the National Research Foundation, Singapore, and is hosted by the National University of Singapore.

We seek an Ecosystem Builder to join the QEP Office to support activities across the programme, including identifying and developing opportunities for collaboration between academic researchers and industry partners, from sourcing and qualifying leads to managing partnerships. The successful candidate will be part of a small, collaborative team working in a dynamic area of deep tech. The team coordinates with research scientists, startups, government agencies and multinational companies.

  • Sourcing and engaging leads through channels such as emails, QEP website and referrals
  • Qualifying the leads after introduction to QEP pillars and matching with the business needs of the industry partner, further scoping of possible subject topics for research collaboration
  • Liaise with professors and researchers to identify possible collaboration opportunities
  • Cultivate partnerships and manage the process in establishing written agreements with internal/external stakeholders
  • Provide support in outreach and awareness activities such as events in QEP

Qualifications
  • Basic degree in relevant science or engineering background
  • Minimum 2 years working experience
  • Relevant experience in Business Development and Marketing roles
  • Experience in negotiating collaborative agreements
  • Pleasant personality with excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • The ideal candidate will be a good communicator of technical information. A background in science or engineering is preferred.
