Manager, Corporate Communications Office - 00B10 



Description

 

Primary functions:


1) Media relations:


  • Developing press releases

  • Identifying stories/research for media pitching

  • Coordinate with corporate partners on joint announcements and events

2) Support social media posts on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram to amplify media and event coverage


  • Manage an external social media agency to drive stronger engagement and awareness for social media platforms

3) Lead internal communications initiatives, including:


  • Gathering and developing content for the School's blog, including faculty and student profiles

  • Organise annual town hall

  • Cover important events and initiatives of the School through the School's blog and social media promotion

  • Create, compile and distribute internal newsletter quarterly

Secondary functions:

 

1) Administrative and other duties, as required


2) Experience with procurement (SESAMi) preferred, but not required

 



Qualifications

 


  • Tertiary education (A degree in Mass Communication, Journalism or Business Studies)

  • At least five years' experience in PR/Communications

  • Experience in internal communications, agency management and event management skills would be a major plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Good handle on social media and current affairs

  • A strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills and is prepared to be 'hands on'

  • Meticulous and a team-player

  • Mature and outgoing self-starter who is able to navigate a matrix organisation, identify synergies with marketing and other departments within the school
