The Alumni Office cultivates, engages and inspires alumni to stay connected with their alma mater, support its vision and contribute to its success. It begins by cultivating and engaging students with the objective of nurturing them to be active alumni volunteers and leaders through structured initiatives and programmes.
The Manager for Alumni Cultivation and Engagement reports to the Head, Alumni Office and assist in the day to day running of the Alumni Office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to identify students and alumni behaviors, interests and needs
- Plan, develop and implement plans for identifying, cultivating and engaging student and alumni leaders and volunteers
- Establish and build relationships with alumni and maintain regular communications with them via direct contact, email blasts, alumni portal, e-newsletters and social media platforms
- Maintain an up-to-date alumni database for daily operations and data analytics
- Develop and maintain a calendar of events for alumni engagement
- Cultivate strong external relationships that contribute to strategic alumni relations
Job Requirements:
- Recognized university degree
- Relevant work experience in an education institution environment dealing with student or/and alumni with at least 5 years in a supervisory/managerial capacity, preferred
- Proficient in using desktop applications and social media platforms.
- Experience in conceptualizing, planning, coordinating and executing projects that involve multiple parties/organizations
- Self-motivated, organized and able to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines
- Team player with good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with different levels of people
