Implement and maintain CIT Network Team’s core responsibilities in Network Infrastructure Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To perform network architecture design and review during SIT Punggol Campus network design phase.  To work with service providers to setup the Punggol Campus netowrk infrastructure to ensure SIT enterprise network needs are built and met.
  • To implement network risk management and monitoring framework to ensure  IT risks are identified, addressed, monitored and followed-up.
  • To work closely with the SIT Divisions of quality network infrastructure design and setup to support the requirements for real-time and bandwidth demanding network traffic. eg. e-Learning, image work flow systems so as to provide the expected service response time
  • Leads and manages network infrastructure projects.
  • Oversees the day-to-day Network operations, which include patches, firmware upgrades, monitoring and tuning network performance.
  • Manages vendors and outsourcing contracts.
  • Ensures compliance with Network and IT Security policies and processes.
  • Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science or IT or equipvalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in leading complex network or IT projects.
  • Good working knowledge across all infrastructure layers and a deep understanding of networking (WAN/LAN, Switches, Routers, LoadBalancers) and network security (Firewall, VPN technology, IPS) and wireless networking
  • Strong network system engineering and design experience.
  • Experienced in building scalable, highly available, mission critical network infrastructures.

  • Able to understand users’ requirements and translate that to infra terminologies.
  • Able to interface with different users (IT colleagues, general users, power users, senior management, etc.)
