About the Role

Reporting to the HR Partner Lead for the Bukit Timah Campus (BTC) Cluster, you will work with your client to co-design people solutions and spearhead people strategies to deliver value-added service to management and employee that reflects the business objectives of NUS.


Duties and Responsibilities

As a key member for the HR Partnering team at the BTC Cluster, you are expected to work closely with HR functional teams and HR Shared Services team within the Office of Human Resources to meet the needs of your clients and the University. Your main commitments are, but not limited to:

  • Partner with business units and line managers to provide advisory on all HR-related matters.
  • Provide professional advice on the interpretation of HR policies and procedures, employment legislation, performance management, etc.
  • Manage all activities in relation to recruitment and appointment/re-appointment of faculty staff.
  • Manage processes and initiatives in relation to promotion and tenure, mid-term advisory report, academic awards, consultation work policy, etc.
  • Facilitate annual performance and compensation reviews.
  • Contact point for employee relations issues, provide accurate assessment of situations and provide HR advice to business units.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  •  At least 8 years of relevant working experience, preferably as HR business partner, and having handled performance appraisal, headcount and budget management, talent acquisition.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to relate well with people at all levels and good service orientation.
  • High IT literacy and strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including MS Excel.
  • Resourceful and self-driven with high degree of professional integrity.
  • University degree, preferably with additional specialist qualification in Human Resource Management.
  • Positive work attitude and a keen learner with a “can-do” mind set.
  • Team Player, able to consider the interest of the team and the University.
  • Meticulous, able to work well under pressure and commitment to meeting tight deadlines.
