Description

A premier university in Asia, the Singapore Management University (SMU) is internationally recognised for its world class research and distinguished teaching. Established in 2000, SMU’s mission is to generate leading edge research with global impact and to produce broad-based, creative and entrepreneurial leaders for the knowledge-based economy. It is known to be a pioneer in Singapore for its interactive and technologically-enabled pedagogy of seminar-style teaching in small class sizes which remains its unique hallmark.
The Yong Pung How School of Law at the Singapore Management University was established in August 2007 with the mission to build a collegial team of excellent researchers and teachers and to nurture lawyers who will lead and serve the community with distinction. Our programmes (currently comprising a 4-year LLB programme, a postgraduate Juris Doctor programme and the LLM programme) aim to produce holistic graduates who understand law in context, and who are able to think across disciplines and geographical borders. Interactive seminar-style teaching is employed to create a learning environment that is dynamic and challenging.
