The NTU University Advancement Office (UAO) supports the University’s giving mission by fostering meaningful relationships and strategic partnerships with philanthropists, alumni, business community partners, corporations, foundations and friends that result in goodwill and philanthropy towards education and research that underpin a shared sustainable future.
The Designer, Marketing Communications designs communication materials for the University Advancement Office in both the digital platforms and print formats, to attract viewership of solicitation appeals, with the aim to increase philanthropic support for the University for continued excellence in education and research.
Key Responsibilities
Design and produce marketing materials.
Design and produce marketing materials for advancement campaigns in a variety of formats, including print, video, and digital, for major gifts and annual giving campaigns.
Support UAO’s marcomms design strategy.
Working together with the Lead, Marketing Communications to conceptualise and manage a design and UX strategy in fundraising-related content such that the University’s communications on philanthropy is strategic, appealing, and effective.
Design, develop, and evaluate creative assets in alignment with UAO’s communication plan and engagement strategies.
Design, develop and implement creative assets that have cross-channel purpose, including print, email, social, digital, website, presentations, video, infographics, and more;
Requirements:
Degree in Visual Communications, Graphic Design or a related design field
Excellent design and visual marketing skills with 2 to 3 years’ working experience in design
Adept at designing across a range of styles for a wide spectrum of stakeholders and audiences
Able to think creatively, and produce effective design work to changing needs and requirements of projects and programmes
Able to conceptualise and contribute design work that fits fundraising and marketing communications strategy and plans
A good understanding and working proficiency of social media and/or digital platforms
Proficient knowledge of printing process and production
Highly creative and able to provide design counsel to complement writing, storyboarding, editing for fundraising and/or student/alumni engagement.
A good understanding and working proficiency in creating EDMs using EDM-building tools such as Kalimna
Highly adept in Creative Design Applications such as Adobe Creative Suite – Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign. Good to have knowledge of Premiere Pro and After Effects.
Proficient in design tools from Microsoft Office – Microsoft Powerpoint, Word
