Casual Technical Staff (Audio/Video Production)

The Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore, offers a unique and adventurous 21st century Asian environment in which we train and educate performers, composers and recording engineers to take advantage of future professional and artistic opportunities both in Singapore and in the world.  The Conservatory is distinctively international in terms of its faculty, student population and artistic outlook.  Our mission is to be a focal point for musical activity, artistic development and research, both for Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region.

The Conservatory is looking for a pool of technical production crews in  AV Productions that can be called upon on an ad-hoc basis to assist in the following areas for its concerts and events.

• Manage and execute AV production and technical logistics of selected YST events.
• Liaise with various YST stakeholders on audio and video requirements.
• Supervise and manage the AV team’s roster/schedule.
• Assist in concert operations and production matters including set ups, strikes, executing stage and logistics moves. 
• Oversee health and safety protocols of the concert productions.
• Perform other production duties as required.

• Significant audio and video experience in Classical Music context (orchestra, chamber music, contemporary music & electronics, etc.).
• Significant audio and video experience in live concert or theatrical context (operation and design in opera, orchestra, theater, etc.).
• Ability to manage technical operations and to operate AV and stage equipment.
• Familiarity with multiple audio, video, and broadcasting software and current technological developments/trends would be an advantage.
• Good communication, multitasking and organizational skills, collaboration and working under pressure, resourceful
