Associate Professor (Practice) in Media Policy and Regulation
 
The Department of Communications and New Media (CNM) at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, National University of Singapore (NUS) is actively seeking to appoint a seasoned professional with expertise in media policy and regulation to the role of Associate Professor (Practice). Full-time appointments at this level will span an initial period of between one and five years.
 
CNM welcomes applications for the practice track position in the following key areas: Media Policy and Regulation, encompassing media ethics, regulations of emerging technologies, and digital literacy.
 
Requirements:
Candidates must hold a minimum degree and should possess over six (6) years of practical experience at a senior level in a managerial, professional, or specialist capacity to be eligible for consideration for an Associate Professorship in Practice. They must demonstrate a track record of distinguished service and thought leadership in the practice of media policy and regulation.
 
Candidates with a robust professional network capable of facilitating connections between CNM and the industry will be viewed favorably.
 
Preference will be given to candidates who exhibit evidence of thought leadership and scholarly contributions, such as high-quality publications, book chapters, written cases, pedagogical research, impactful works, or patents.
 
Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will be tasked with designing and promoting executive education programs tailored for professionals, contributing to curriculum development, overseeing course administration, and teaching a variety of courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive levels, including media policy and regulation, misinformation, and fake news. Additional duties will include supervising honors and graduate students, as well as providing administrative support.
