Responsibilities

The Associate will support and assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the Office of Research, which includes but is not limited to the following:

• Provide support to faculty in their applications to grant calls, and respond timely and appropriately to pre/post-award research related queries
• Develop close rapport with the funding agencies locally and internationally
• Work closely with management and faculty to operationalize and implement the University's research strategy, grant operations and plans
• Identify research benchmarks and indicators, manage databases and track faculty research achievements
• Work closely with the relevant stakeholders, funding agencies, partners to advance SUTD’s research agenda
• Administer the university’s research processes and ensure that they are in compliance with the university's overall goals and policies as well as funding agencies' research guidelines and policies
• Prepare relevant reports and presentations for submission to funding agencies and management
• Provide secretariat support to the University's Academic Research Committee as required

Requirements

• A recognised university degree
• Relevant experience in grant and/or project management will be an added advantage
• Have a good understanding of Singapore’s R&D and funding landscape (e.g. MOE grants)
• Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytica( skills.
• A keen eye for details with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and within tight deadlines.
