Description:

As an Event Assistant of EPD, you are responsible for all the administrative aspects and logistics of planning and hosting outreach events at EPD Pillar. You will coordinate and communicate with various internal and external stakeholders. You are required to understand SUTD’s university policies and procedures, and expected to be aware of changes to these policies and procedures as they evolve.

Working closely with the pillar faculty and staff, persons filling these positions will perform the following duties:

  • Brainstorming and implementing event plans and concepts.
  • Develop EPD promotional, outreach and admission related materials
  • Manage communications with the public, current students, faculty and staff on Pillar events and activities
  • Conduct pre and post event evaluations and report on outcomes; take initiatives to implement improvement plans
  • Handling logistics including venue and facilities bookings, schedule speakers, sending calendar invites
  • Onsite execution and delivery of event
  • Any other ad hoc duties

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide support to the development of outreach events at EPD.
  • Provide professional, consistent and effective administrative support EPD.
  • Ensure tasks are executed in compliance to the University’s policy framework.

Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Essential

  • A recognised degree in any discipline with at least 2 years of experience in event coordinator or similar role
  • Good communication skill, negotiation skill & ability to manage multiple and complex projects simultaneously
  • Independent, adaptable, good time management, self-motivated and resourceful.
  • Must be an excellent team player with good people skills.
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable

  • Degree in Management / Business/ Marketing
  • Working experience an academic, research or institution of higher learning environment.
