Job Description

 

LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT
(1) Leadership
- Provide leadership and instructions to the MBA and MSc Programmes Office Finance & Rankings team
- Provide supervision and develop team members’ skills and knowledge
- Support team members’ talent and professional development within NUS

 

FINANCE
(2) Payment and Receivables
- Verify and process all documents submitted for payments
- Verify receipts issued from the Income Collection System
- Raise invoices on behalf of the programmes to sponsors and external entities as required
- Provide advice to the Graduate Studies staff members on all payment and billing matters

 

(3) Student Financials
- Co-ordinate the disbursement of awards and scholarships with the Office of Finance (OFN)/sponsors and the individual programmes
- Provide debt ageing reports to the various programmes for update and follow up on payment status and highlight of outstanding cases
- Co-ordinate processing of student financials (e.g. tuition fee billing, journal transfers, refunds, reversals, waivers) between OFN and the individual programmes

 

(4) Budget and Management Reporting
- Streamline, consolidate and prepare the MBA and MSc Programmes budget and other financial management reports as required by Dean's Office
- Support units by providing financial evaluations, budget and costing information as and when required
- Prepare quarterly profitability reports and analysis of expenditures for management oversight
- Prepare P&L by Intake for MBA and MSc programmes upon completion of the programme

 

(5) Procurement process
- Co-ordinate and liaise with Central Procurement Office (CPO) in the procurement process
- Ensure accuracy of submissions and compliance with the university policies and guidelines
- Provide procurement advice to the various unit heads where required

 

RANKINGS
- Oversee in the MBA and Executive MBA rankings activities
- Prepare rankings analysis

 

OTHER DUTIES
- Oversee general office administration in the MBA Programmes Office
- Support events and activities which may be organized by the various teams in the MBA Programmes Office


Qualifications

- At least a degree from a recognized University or a professional qualification in accountancy
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a supervisory position
- Possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel
- Team player with the ability to multi-task and work within deadlines
