Drawing on unparalleled access to the multi-disciplinary expertise of 16 other NUS Faculties/Schools, SCALE offers youth, executive and professional development/education programmes, part-time and full-time degree programmes, as well as modular courses that may be taken singly or stacked towards certificates/diplomas/degrees that meet the lifelong learning needs of individuals. All programmes are designed and developed in consultation with the industry to ensure relevance and currency.
Qualifications
About the Role
To augment our manpower resources in the School, we are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join our Executive & Professional Development (EPD) Unit.
Reporting to Deputy Director (Operations, Audit & Grant Management), the incumbent shall ensure efficiency and effectiveness on the end-to-end activities in grant-funded programmes.
This role is offered on a 3-year renewable contract basis; renewal is subject to satisfactory job performance.
Remuneration is based on a 12-month salary structure, with annual variable bonus which is subject to incumbent’s performance and the University/School’s prevailing remuneration policies.
The incumbent will be emplaced at an appropriate appointment grade based on his/her individual merits.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Support the activities in grant management, stakeholder engagement, grant administration and governance. This is pertaining to respective grant-funded programmes from Grantors such as SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), etc.
• Assist in the preparations of reports and presentations as required for submission to Management, Government funding agencies, etc.
• Liaise with funding agencies on all matters related to Grants received by SCALE.
• Manage claims submission activities such as collation of claims submission details and ensuring successful claims submissions into funding agencies’ funding portal e.g. SSG’s Funding Management System.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to ramp up productivity and operational efficiency.
• Develop, cultivate and promote positive stakeholder engagement practices to continuously improve stakeholders’ experience.
Requirements
Academic & Professional Certification
• At least a good bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a reputable university
• IT savvy and proficient in MS Office applications
Experience & Attributes
• At least 2 years’ experience dealing with Government-funded Grants
• Working experience in the education industry and a good understanding of the Singapore CET landscape are added advantages
• Good interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills
• Results-driven, self-motivated and highly disciplined
• Strong team player, able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
• Meticulous, resilient, resourceful with good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented and ambiguous work environment
