Established in 1981, the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) https://www.ntu.edu.sg/eee is one of the founding Schools of the Nanyang Technological University. Built on a culture of excellence, the School is renowned for its high academic standards and research. It is one of the largest EEE schools in the world, with more than 120 faculty members and an enrolment of more than 4,000, of which about 1,000 are graduate students.
We invite applications for the position of Assistant Manager / Senior Assistant Manager. The incumbent shall provide technical excellence across multiple laboratories in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Responsibilities:
Laboratory Operations
Manage, plan, and coordinate facilities and equipment in the EEE laboratories.
Provide technical support on the setup for research projects.
Develop engineering and technical guidance programs for maintenance and failure analysis of equipment and facilities.
Laboratory asset management and maintaining proper records for inventory auditing.
Provide teaching supports to laboratory experiments and projects.
Liaise and manage vendors/contractors for the technical needs in the laboratories.
Safety & Training
Ensuring compliance with regulatory and agencies for EEE laboratory safety, including inspections, audits, documentation, and reporting.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure safety standards are compliant with ISO45001 regulations.
Development of training program and collaborative platform for knowledge sharing and information/idea exchange to fellow colleagues.
Requirement:
A Degree in Electrical and Electronic or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experiences in the above scope.
Hands on experience in equipment maintenance.
Good understanding of laboratory operation, processes, and procedure.
Experiences in Biosafety is a plus.
Experiences in Risk Management.
Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Self-motivated, able to provide leadership support and ad-hoc responsibilities in a timely and professional manner.
