Job Description

Stewardship of Donors

  • Support the Senior Manager/Associate Director in the stewardship of the College of Design and Engineering (CDE)’s donors, including to collaborate closely and provide support to CDE’s Deanery and Departments on engagement events and initiatives (such as donor appreciation events, fundraising events, beneficiary-donor engagement sessions, etc.) to appreciate and recognise existing donors and to cultivate positive relationships with prospective donors.
  • Assist the Senior Manager/Associate Director to follow-up on matters with donors and internal stakeholders (such as proposal drafting, soliciting of more information, arranging follow-up meetings, etc.) after the initial engagements.
  • Advise and coordinate with CDE’s Deanery and Departments on matters and enquiries relating to gifts and donations, including to liaise with university-level Development Office and with cross-functional units like Finance and Admissions on necessary information exchanges and follow-ups.
  • Work closely with cross-functional units like Office of Alumni Relations and Office of Student Life on opportunities to engage students and alumni on the spirit of giving.
  • Work closely with university-level Development Office to advance giving matters for CDE.

 

Gift Administration Support

  • Support the team on gift administration processes ranging from gift acceptance, processing, recording and disbursement, including to work with CDE’s Deanery and Departments to seek relevant approvals and to address gift-related enquiries.
  • Coordinate with and collate reports from CDE’s Deanery and Departments as the need arises for audit purposes, including documentation and archiving of gift-related documents.

 

This position may also be expected to undertake additional assignments relating to the overall gift administration, stewardship, and fundraising mission of the CDE Office of Development.


Qualifications
  • Degree from a recognised university.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comfortable to work independently as an individual contributor as well as collaborating as part of a team.
  • An eye for detail to execute, monitor and follow-up on administrative and approval processes.
  • Able to multi-task between donor-engagement and gift administration responsibilities.
  • Candidates with prior relevant experiences on donor engagement or gift administration or university administration will be preferred (e.g. university administration, charitable organisations, etc.).
