Job Purpose

The NUS School of Computing (SoC) traces its roots back to the Nanyang University Department of Computer Science that was established in 1975.  Since then, SOC has developed into one of the leading computing schools in the world, with faculty members who are both internationally recognised researchers and inspiring teachers.
 
Today, SoC offers undergraduate and graduate degree programmes across the full spectrum of the field of computing, including Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Business Analytics and Information Security, as well as specialisations in emerging areas of importance such as artificial intelligence, fintech, blockchain, analytics and security.
 
SoC Advanced Computing for Executives (ACE) unit was established to help business leaders, managers and professionals learn about emerging technology and how to harness them for digital transformation and business competitiveness.  ACE drives the expansion of SoC’s lifelong learning offerings in a concerted and strategic way and aims to be the premier educator and thought leader in advanced computing and information technology.
 
To augment our manpower resources in the School, we are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join ACE unit. Reporting to the Senior Associate Director, Industry Partnership and Programme Development, the incumbent shall develop and implement strategic marketing plans that promote their training programmes. The incumbent is expected to manage various channels like social media networks, Google Adwords, Website content and email marketing to create and deliver a persuasive and cohesive marketing message to the various audience. The incumbent will be emplaced at an appropriate appointment grade, based on the individual merits of the candidate.
 
 


Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for NUS ACE's marketing campaigns, events and coordinate the marketing activities (internal and external) to ensure its success.
  • Promote ACE programmes to NUS Alumni, self-sponsored individuals and SMEs etc.
  • Produce quality content with various stakeholders including faculty and facilitators. 
  • Manage and grow ACE's social media presence.
  • Inject fresh initiatives to increase awareness of the programmes.
  • Develop and implement student recruitment campaigns through digital media.
  • Plan and executes all web, SEO/SEM, database marketing, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns.
  • Periodically design and web maintenance projects such as the design of e-flyers, e-banners, eDMs etc.
  • Work with vendors and agencies to produce collaterals and contents.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and provide market insights for growth.
  • Build strong relationships internally at SoC and NUS as well as externally with strategic partners, government agencies and clients at various levels to market our training programmes, facilitate integration and drive results.
     

Job Requirements
  • Experience in working with a range of content mediums such as video, photography, social media long-form articles, etc.
  • Effectively use all marketing tools and techniques like PPC, SEO, SEM, email, social media, and display advertising.
  • Well organized with good monitoring and follow-up skills within tight deadlines.
  • Self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced environment and a good team player.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and project management skills.
  • Good grasp of written and spoken English.
  • Strong positive/can-do attitude and comfort interacting with all levels of an organisation.
  • Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and adjust quickly to shifting priorities and ambiguity.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Networking aptitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe and Canva.
  • Personal integrity with an honest and open personal style.
  • Approachable, with an ability to engage partners and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to demonstrate poise, organizational savvy and executive presence.
