Job Description

NUS Centre for Future-ready Graduates (CFG) adopts a multipronged, student-centric approach to help them make sense of their strengths, refine their skills and demonstrate their value to employers. Beginning with the end in mind, CFG has developed a four-year roadmap to help enhance the employability of our graduates through a repertoire of skills programmes and industry focused experiential opportunities. This bolsters students’ assurance to grow deeper, discover their passion and explore multiple pathways.
 
Serving the entire spectrum of students from undergraduates to post-graduates, CFG offers more than 15 unit-bearing courses in collaboration with academic and industry partners. We continuously innovate and enhance the quality of our offerings, as our students deserve the best tools, preparedness, and mindset to not just launch a good career, but be equipped with life skills that can help them navigate a future that is unpredictable.


Overview:
•    The Industry Relations team at CFG acts as an engagement and knowledge bridge between industry and the University
•    You will be tasked with business development to deepen engagement and act as the key point of contact for employers of assigned industries, to develop and cultivate strong relationships, while bring in more opportunities, both jobs and internships, to NUS students
•    You will also work closely with the Career Advisors, Learning & Development team, Faculties and Departments to conceptualise, support and run student-employer engagement events and initiatives to enhance on NUS students’ life skills and employability


Duties & Responsibilities:
•    Formulate and implement industry engagement strategies for the assigned industries and sectors
•    Customise, facilitate, and manage student-employer engagement events and programmes (e.g. Recruitment Talks and, Industry Insights Courses).
•    Prospect and expand the repertoire of internship and job opportunities, including actively monitoring applications and partnering with the Career Advisory team to profile students for these opportunities.  
•    Keep abreast of assigned industries’ developments and hiring trends, and convey the insights to students, faculties & departments and CFG 
•    Collaborate with the CFG team and provide support for key activities and events throughout the academic year (such as Career Fairs and, Industry specific sharing at Career Advisory sessions)
•    Build and maintain strong working relationships with faculties and departments within the University to improve students’ career readiness and employability
•    Other projects and duties as assigned, according to the needs of the University and CFG
 


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree of any discipline, with 2-7 years of relevant work experience. Candidates with more years of relevant work experience will be considered for a senior role
  • Good knowledge of the latest industry transformation, emerging opportunities and hiring trends
  • Prior experience in business development, account management, employer outreach or tertiary education administration would be a plus
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, coupled with professional discretion
  • Ability to drive independent work goals while working collaboratively with partners and teams to manage change and achieve goals
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguous situations and changes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
