The National Institute of Education invites suitable candidates to apply for the post of Assistant Manager/Manager, Graduate Education in the Office of Graduate Studies & Professional Learning. This is a 3-year contract position.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for providing programmes and administrative support in the Graduate Education (GE) team. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Manage the NIE Doctor in Education programme.

  • Manage the Dean’s Commendation for Research and the Graduate Student Award Ceremony.

  • Assist in planning and execution of GE Events e.g., Graduate Student Conference, Graduate Education Distinguished Speaker Series, etc.

  • Oversee the NIE Graduate Student Club.

  • Assist in the administration of NIE’s offering of Master-level courses stackable to a certification.

  • Support the GE Associate Deans in Special Projects.

  • Assist in the PhD examination processes.

  • Assist in statistical computation and projections.

Requirements:

  • A University Degree.

  • At least 3 years of administrative experience, preferably in an educational institution.

  • Good written and spoken English communication skills.

  • Proficient in proposal and report writing, and minutes writing.

  • Good interpersonal skills, including demonstrated experience in teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Strong analytic and problem solving skills.

  • Meticulous, with an eye for detail.

  • Able to multi-task and keep a close follow-up on tasks.

  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to adapt to changes well.

  • Proficient in use of IT tools such as Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Knowledge of statistical analysis will be an advantage.
