Assistant Manager/Manager (Finance Shared Services)

To support the Finance Lead of University Campus Infrastructure Department (“UCI”) in:

• business partnering role
• finance & accounting functions & ensure compliance with NUS’ Financial Policies & Procedures

Duties & Responsibilities
1. Business Partnership role to business units within UCI, working closely with the business functions to provide financial insights, guidance, and support, & ensure compliance with NUS policies.

2. Construction Project Accounting

• Reconcile project costs with allocated budgets and fixed asset ledger entries.
• Collaborate with project managers to address financial discrepancies.

3. Fixed Assets Management - Oversee the accounting and management of fixed assets within the department.

4. Oversee Accounts Payables & Staff Claims (until such time integrated into Shared Services, & thereafter as interface between department users & Shared Services if required to, as business & business processes evolve)

5. Other Process improvement & other

• Review Internal Controls, processes & procedures for opportunities for enhancement
• Ensure key controls are in place

6. Advisory & guidance on finance matters to internal customers, liaison with OFN Central

7. New responsibilities & project as assigned. Periodic rotation of duties should be expected

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with proficiency in MS Excel.
• Proactive and capable of handling routine tasks.
