Job Description

To connect alumni with the College and support engagement programming.


Duties & Responsibilities
  • To be responsible, in consultation with College President, VP Engagement and AD Alumni Affairs & Strategic Events for developing and implementing the College’s alumni engagement strategy focused on cultivating and deepening alumni relationships with the College
  • Lead and collaborate with Public Affairs on the creation of engaging content for all alumni channels including newsletter, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Cross Campus etc) and email communications
  • Conceptualise and manage alumni events and programming such as Alumni Reunion, networking and social activities and mentorship opportunities
  • Support the College’s graduation ceremony and the execution of College-level events and large public events
  • Develop, manage and optimise a robust alumni database and ensure timely updates of alumni records and directories.
  • Working with Yale and NUS to ensure the continuity of alumni data and information after the closure of Yale-NUS College in 2025.
  • Working with alumni groups like Alumni Council and Shared Interest Groups (SIGs) to extend alumni engagement with the College and for alumni to pursue interests and activities.
  • Track effectiveness of all aspects of alumni engagement and benchmark against best practices.
  • To provide Senior Leadership with a birds eye view of alumni sentiment, data and programmes
  • Mentor, manage and lead student associates

Requirements
  • Degree holder with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably having managed alumni or client relations, and with a background in higher education
  • Resourceful, creative, self-motivated, enjoy taking on new challenges and thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to establish, build, and maintain efficient and effective working relationships both internally and externally
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, project and event management skills
  • Strong database management skills and ability to produce detailed reports
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and presentation skills
