Assistant Director, Faculty Engagement & Value Propositions

The NTU University Advancement Office (UAO) supports the University’s giving mission by fostering meaningful relationships and strategic partnerships with philanthropists, alumni, business community partners, corporations, foundations and friends that result in goodwill and philanthropy towards education and research that underpin a shared sustainable future.

The position is responsible for building compelling donor centric propositions and enhancing the fundraising competency of faculty and units to advance the philanthropic cause for NTU.

Responsibilities:

  • Build strong working relationships with faculty colleagues to develop new funding propositions of the Colleges & Schools

  • Aligning funding needs or offerings from the faculty to the giving interests of prospective donors, to drive new gift opportunities.

  • Support faculties in managing conversations on new gift opportunities between stakeholders within the University, as well as prospective donors.

  • Create articulate and compelling proposals and donor centric collaterals for donor engagement.

  • Supporting Senior Leadership for gift cases

  • Provide administrative and operational support for advancing gift purposes where required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

  • Proficient in relationship management, editorial writing, presentation and product packaging capabilities.

  • At least 8 years’ progressive career track record in business development and/or marketing role demonstrating engagement with senior stakeholders.

  • Ability to position technical innovations into go-to-market messages.

  • Experience in Higher Education or Business Development will be an added advantage 

  • Values philanthropy for higher education and is self-motivated to contribute for community building.

  • Team-oriented with a positive “can-do” attitude.

  • Demonstrates discretion in preparing, disclosing and handling information of a confidential and sensitive nature.

  • Ability to perform duties with tact, maturity, and independent judgment.
