As part of the Brand & Marcom team in the Corporate Communications and External Relations Unit at Nanyang Business School (NBS), the candidate will help maintain a consistent positioning to further the school's mission of excellence in education, research, and innovation. They will develop and implement marketing communication plans to ensure clear and compelling messaging that enhances the university and school’s reputation, attracts top students and faculty, and engages stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand and Marketing Communications:
- Define and align NBS’s long-term vision and positioning with business goals
- Conduct market research to guide strategies
- Support departments in aligning communications with the NBS brand to ensure a consistent brand image
- Execute campaigns across various channels to communicate the brand's value
- Create compelling content for multiple platforms in managing the school’s online presence, including social media and websites
- Evaluate communication strategies using performance metrics
Public Relations:
- Build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders, including the media and influencers
- Develop a PR calendar and manage media relations
- Lead press releases and responses to media queries
- Monitor media coverage and track performance metrics
- Stay updated on industry best practices and trends
Key Requirements:
- Degree holder in Communications, public relations, marketing, or equivalent
- 10-12 years in strategic communication planning, content creation, and distribution, ideally in education or corporate sectors
- Proficiency in brand management, media relations and crisis communication
- Strong in project and stakeholder management, analytical and strategic thinking
- Ability to create compelling content for digital channels
- Experience in thought leadership initiatives
- Familiarity with media tracking and social listening tools
- Creative, resourceful, meticulous, initiative-driven, results-oriented with a focus on meeting deadlines
