The incumbent provides leadership and ensures professional administration of teaching timetable, teaching facilities management and course enrolment process of undergraduate and graduate education in the University. The incumbent is responsible for governing and safeguarding the integrity of the processes and for reviewing the policies. The incumbent also leverages on big data and carries out data analytics which contributes to the University’s effort in education and sustainability arising from the University’s strategic initiatives.


Responsibilities

Undergraduate and Graduate Education Teaching Timetable and Course Enrolment

  • Aligns academic services activities towards the department’s goal and priorities, initiates and manages change in a timely manner and communicates change effectively.

  • Formulates, develops and implements new initiatives, policies and procedures, as well as reviews existing policies and procedures.

  • Provides effective governance and safeguards the integrity of the undergraduate and graduate course timetabling and enrolment processes and systems, and ensures fair and objective process and system.

  • Continuously reviews business processes and systems that lead to positive student experience.

  • Carries out and provides general oversight of capacity planning.

Teaching Facilities Administration

  • Provides oversight on the teaching facilities administration and utilization.

  • Carries out periodic review of teaching facilities allocation.

Student Data Governance

  • Ensures proper handling of data requests from internal and external stakeholders.

  • Assists Director in reviewing data requests and data extraction.

Data Analytics

  • Generates, processes, and analyzes data on teaching timetable, course enrolment, and teaching facilities.

  • Provides insights for management, Colleges, Schools and Departments strategies and planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with at least 10-12 years of relevant working experience in administration, preferably in academic services in Institute of Higher Learning.

  • Highly organized, able to quickly adapt to changes.

  • Ability to see big picture and at the same time have attention to details.

  • Ability to collaborate and engage with people at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong analytical thinking with excellent communication and facilitation skills.

  • Policy writing skills.

  • Strategic thinking skills, ability to identify gaps and challenges.

  • Knowledge in PL/SQL Query would be advantageous.
