AIOps Senior Engineer for AI Singapore (Makerspace)

AI Singapore (AISG) is a national AI programme launched by the National Research Foundation (NRF) to anchor deep national capabilities in Artificial Intelligence (AI).  

The programme office is hosted by the National University of Singapore (NUS) and brings together all Singapore-based research institutions and the vibrant ecosystem of AI start-ups and companies developing AI products to perform use-inspired research, grow the knowledge, create the tools, and develop the talent to power Singapore's AI efforts.   

• We are seeking an experienced AIOps Engineer to join our team to build large language models (LLM).
• The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing AIOps and DevOps solutions to automate AI/ML operations and optimize LLM performance.
• This role requires a high level of technical expertise, with a focus on deep learning, automation and orchestration, and data analytics.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Overseeing key functions of designing and implementing AIOps and DevOps solutions to improve the efficiency and reliability of AI/ML infrastructure, including automating the deployment, scaling, and management of infrastructure/applications in a mix-cloud setup.
• Work independently with internal teams and large data sets to identify opportunities to optimize the performance of AI/ML cloud infrastructure, including monitoring and improving the performance and availability of LLMs.
• Responsible for designing and managing AIOps tools and solutions for tracking, alerting, and reporting, including costs monitoring to identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Participate in the team's effort to develop a big data engineering pipeline capable of supporting LLM model training, testing, and deployment by contributing architecture and design ideas, and providing mentorship to fellow team members.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in AIOps, DevOps, or related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages.
• Strong understanding of AIOps practices and Deep Learning principles. Knowledge of NLP or LLM is highly favourable.
• Experience with automation and orchestration tools, such as Splunk, Elastic, Terraform, Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
