System Automation & Tech Projects Mgr

Job Purpose:

Responsibletomanagecomplex andstrategicprojectswithahighbusinessimpactorrisk.Ownstheend- to-end implementation of the project, ensuring delivery against agreed upon timelines and milestones.

The System Automation & Technology Projects Manager will also work to develop and implement best practices,processes,andtoolsetsforeffectiveportfolio/projectmanagement,andwillhelpeducatestaff

onbestpracticesandeffectiveprojectexecution.

Major Accountabilities:

• Managemultipleprojectssimultaneouslyandleadtheprojectteamforsuccessfulandtimely delivery of project
• Works collaboratively with the System Automation & Technology Consultant on projects requests,collectionofrequirements,projectscopeandproposalstoensuresuccessfulportfolio management and project delivery
• WorkwithSystemAutomation&TechnologyConsultanttoconductfeasibilitystudyonnew proposed technologies and idea for innovation/System upgrade
• Communicatesprojectstatusinaproactivemannerrelatedtoprojectprogress,budget/cost, resourceutilization,changerequests,issues,risks,andriskmitigationplans toGALeadership Team
• Responsibleofprojectcommunicationsincludingprojectsteeringcommitteemeetingsand status reports.
• Coachandmentors,theteamtousebusinessanalysistechniques,asneeded,forgatheringand documenting complex requirements, scoping, interviewing, facilitation, system component design, testing, and implementation
• Defines,articulate,andmaintainsprojectcharter,workingstandards,andagreements
• Developsprojectroadmap,releaseplan,resourceallocation,fundingrequest,communication plan, risks, and issues management plan.
• Overseetheplanning,development,andimplementationofSystemAutomation&Technology projects.
• Performteammembersupervisionincludingperformancemanagement,careergrowthand development.
• Provideoversightmanagementtoallprojectmanagerswithrespecttotheirproject’s implementation.
• Definesandmanagesprojectscope,budget,projectburncharts,timelines,andpresentationsto various stakeholders
• Reviewprojectsproposalsbasedonthedefinedscopeandrequirements
• ImplementsAgilemethodologyusingagiletools
• Leadsprojectanalysisactivities
• Facilitatetheprioritizationprocessofprojects,scopingworkshops,post-implementation reviews and various other project-related workshops with all levels of management.
• Ensuresthatappropriateprojectdocumentationanddeliverablesareclearlydefinedand delivered
• Overseesthetestingandreviewofsolutions/productsbeforethereleasingtoensurethe product operates as expected and meets all requirements
• ActsasaliaisonbetweenfunctionalunitsandITDepartment/implementation partners/vendors
• Developsandimplementsevaluationsmethodtoassessprojectsstrengthsandidentifyareasfor improvement
• Anticipaterisksandissuesandensureappropriatemitigationplanningisinplacetoavoid compromising delivery

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline. Master degree is preferred
• Certified ScrumMaster or PMP (Project Management Professional)
• Proficiency in Agile life cycle management tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project or any project management tool
• Superior leadership skills and ability to influence others
• Strong analytical, estimating, and problem solving skills
• Proven ability to resolve conflicts and facilitate decision making

Experience:

8+ years' experience managing and delivering mission-critical, large IT development projects using structured project management and system development methodologies, such as Agile/Scrum
