Job Purpose:
Responsibletomanagecomplex andstrategicprojectswithahighbusinessimpactorrisk.Ownstheend- to-end implementation of the project, ensuring delivery against agreed upon timelines and milestones.
The System Automation & Technology Projects Manager will also work to develop and implement best practices,processes,andtoolsetsforeffectiveportfolio/projectmanagement,andwillhelpeducatestaff
onbestpracticesandeffectiveprojectexecution.
Major Accountabilities:
- Managemultipleprojectssimultaneouslyandleadtheprojectteamforsuccessfulandtimely delivery of project
- Works collaboratively with the System Automation & Technology Consultant on projects requests,collectionofrequirements,projectscopeandproposalstoensuresuccessfulportfolio management and project delivery
- WorkwithSystemAutomation&TechnologyConsultanttoconductfeasibilitystudyonnew proposed technologies and idea for innovation/System upgrade
- Communicatesprojectstatusinaproactivemannerrelatedtoprojectprogress,budget/cost, resourceutilization,changerequests,issues,risks,andriskmitigationplans toGALeadership Team
- Responsibleofprojectcommunicationsincludingprojectsteeringcommitteemeetingsand status reports.
- Coachandmentors,theteamtousebusinessanalysistechniques,asneeded,forgatheringand documenting complex requirements, scoping, interviewing, facilitation, system component design, testing, and implementation
- Defines,articulate,andmaintainsprojectcharter,workingstandards,andagreements
- Developsprojectroadmap,releaseplan,resourceallocation,fundingrequest,communication plan, risks, and issues management plan.
- Overseetheplanning,development,andimplementationofSystemAutomation&Technology projects.
- Performteammembersupervisionincludingperformancemanagement,careergrowthand development.
- Provideoversightmanagementtoallprojectmanagerswithrespecttotheirproject’s implementation.
- Definesandmanagesprojectscope,budget,projectburncharts,timelines,andpresentationsto various stakeholders
- Reviewprojectsproposalsbasedonthedefinedscopeandrequirements
- ImplementsAgilemethodologyusingagiletools
- Leadsprojectanalysisactivities
- Facilitatetheprioritizationprocessofprojects,scopingworkshops,post-implementation reviews and various other project-related workshops with all levels of management.
- Ensuresthatappropriateprojectdocumentationanddeliverablesareclearlydefinedand delivered
- Overseesthetestingandreviewofsolutions/productsbeforethereleasingtoensurethe product operates as expected and meets all requirements
- ActsasaliaisonbetweenfunctionalunitsandITDepartment/implementation partners/vendors
- Developsandimplementsevaluationsmethodtoassessprojectsstrengthsandidentifyareasfor improvement
- Anticipaterisksandissuesandensureappropriatemitigationplanningisinplacetoavoid compromising delivery

Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline. Master degree is preferred
- Certified ScrumMaster or PMP (Project Management Professional)
- Proficiency in Agile life cycle management tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project or any project management tool
- Superior leadership skills and ability to influence others
- Strong analytical, estimating, and problem solving skills
- Proven ability to resolve conflicts and facilitate decision making
Experience:
8+ years' experience managing and delivering mission-critical, large IT development projects using structured project management and system development methodologies, such as Agile/Scrum
