RESEARCH SCIENTIST IN COMPOSITE INTEGRITY

We seek a highly motivated Research Scientist to join our Technology Consortium, ENERCOMP. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in managing research & technology projects in this consortium.

Responsibilities :

• Initiate the design, development, execution, and implementation of a portfolio of projects in the field of design and structural integrity monitoring of composite structures in the Energy sector.
• Lead the development of a state-of-the-art experimental platform in the field of testing composite materials for in-situ testing in conditions relevant to the energy sector (high pressure, high temperature, extreme environments).
• Lead the generation of a unique database of composite characterization in extreme conditions.
• Plan and execute research tasks, analyzing data, publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting research at scientific conferences.
• Plans and executes applied research.
• Assist in formulating long-term plans for composite materials integration and choice in the Energy sector in collaboration with KAUST TTO and partners’ business units.
• Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories and may contribute to scientific literature and conferences.
• Participate in the development of patent applications.
• Coordinate interpartners activities and research efforts.

ENERCOMP is a technology consortium on Composite Asset Performance in Energy Applications. It aims at increasing confidence and enabling further penetration of composite materials in the Energy sector by availing new technologies for integrity management. Its mission is to develop innovative integrity management solutions through collaborations with industry and academia by translating fundamental research into deployable technologies.
