Professor of "Polymerization Processes and Green Polymers"

We seek a candidate with expertise in different polymerization techniques and polymer recycling (green polymers). Investigating energy efficient polymerization techniques and the recyclability of the prepared polymers for future environmental applications are the highlights of this position. A background in synthetic organic chemistry and polymers characterization is preferred.

Faculty in the Chemical Science Program conducts research on a broad range of chemistry topics addressing fundamental questions relating to energy production, water purification, and environmental protection. The Chemical Science Program is concerned with chemistry in all its facets including those addressed in KAUST Research Centers, particularly in Catalysis, Membrane, and Solar Energy ( ). 

The Physical Science and Engineering (PSE) Division comprise seven Degree Programs: Material Science and Engineering, Applied Physics, Earth Science and Engineering, Energy Resources and Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Science, Chemical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. These disciplines provide the foundation for our Division's quest to address some of the major challenges that we face in the world today, including those related to energy and the environment. Specifically, our faculty members and their research teams work on photovoltaics, supercapacitors, porous materials, clean combustion, atmospheric modeling, and other topics.
