Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Structural and Molecular Biology (2)

Updated: 3 months ago
Deadline: The position may have been removed or expired!

Position focus:

  • Large multi-domain proteins, protein-nucleic acid complexes;
  • Protein structure and dynamics determined by cutting-edge NMR techniques.

The research of the group is focused on atomic-level insight into essential and topical questions of biochemistry and molecular medicine. The candidate for the postdoctoral position should be able to carry out interdisciplinary projects to study the structural and dynamic properties of multi-domain proteins and their complexes. We are seeking highly motivated postdoctoral fellows with extensive experience in the protein biochemistry and biophysical methods that are used for characterization of proteins and to study protein-protein interactions. The key experimental technique used and developed in the lab to tackle challenging macromolecular assemblies is the biomolecular nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. Depending on their interests and skills, a candidate will have the opportunity to expand expertise in various biophysical methods relevant to state-of-the-art Integrated Structural Biology, with a particular emphasis on the solution, solid-state NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography, cryo-EM, and molecular dynamics simulations.
