Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Structural and Molecular Biology (1)

Updated: 3 months ago
Deadline: The position may have been removed or expired!

Position focus:

  • Bio-inspired and self-assembly materials, protein aggregation;
  • Intrinsically disordered and flexible proteins.

The candidate for the postdoctoral position should be able to carry out interdisciplinary projects to study the structural and dynamic properties of Intrinsically Disordered Proteins (IDPs) and their complexes. Dr Mariusz Jaremko is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral fellows with extensive experience in the protein biochemistry and biophysical methods used for characterization of proteins and to study protein-protein/peptide interactions. Dr Mariusz Jaremko’s interdisciplinary research group is focused on the design and physico-chemical and structural characterization of novel peptide/protein-based bio-inspired materials (hydro-gels, aggregates), inhibitors of protein interactions, aggregation, and liquid-liquid protein phase separation. Depending on their interests and skills, candidates will have an opportunity to expand expertise in various biophysical methods relevant to state-of-the-art Integrated Structural Biology, with a particular emphasis on solution, solid-state NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography, cryo-EM, and molecular dynamics simulations (MD).
