Mechanical Maintenance Lead
Manages maintenance of all Mechanical- HVAC, Hydraulics & Plumbing, Elevators and automation systems, and equipment in Campus and Research & Technology Park facilities including underground utilities in KAUST campus facilities.
Major activities also include interaction with clients, organizing and monitoring, planning and scheduling of all maintenance  activities,  spare parts management,  and performance monitoring
  • Lead a team of 6 mechanical engineers and technicians to ensure the efficient and effective execution of electrical systems maintenance work by the Service Provider in accordance with the agreed KPl's within Campus and Research & Technology Park.
  • Oversees development and implementation of maintenance programs.
  • Establishes and enforces the safety compliance procedures for the execution of all mechanical systems maintenance activities.
  • Develops and enforces the processes of Quality Assurance and Quality Control of all mechanical systems maintenance activities performed by the Service Provider.
  • Ensuring the effective implementation of the Preventive, Predictive, Reactive and Corrective maintenance of all mechanical systems according to the latest approved vendor/manufacture recommendations.
  • Leads the process of frequent Preventive' Maintenance program audits.
  • Regularly assess the competency level of Service Provider staff and recommends the required replacement or development.
  • Coordinates and ensures proper execution of works carried out through subcontractors especially for Manufacturer authorized maintenance.
  • Monitors and analyzes quantity of spare parts available, usage, reviews forecasting.
  • Lead asset management and condition assessment exercise of Campus and Research & Technology Park electrical equipment/assets.
  • Plans future mechanical asset replacement and equipment modernization using capital outlay funds as required.
  • Reviews reports on emergencies and equipment breakdown with Reliability team to provide feedback and recommendations to management
  • Recommend and reviews training requirements for subordinates as required and encouraging career progression.
  • Plans, assigns, distributes and priorities work among the team, provides guidance and coaching to team member and evaluates their performance.
  • Ensuring all management reports are done in a timely manner as per agreed frequency.
  • Develop and coordinate for the implementation of new methods, policies and procedures.
  • Prepare monthly work completion certificates inputs and all supporting documents as per contract.
  • Attends promptly to major faults
  • Leads commissioning of new electrical equipment and follow-ups.
  • Covers for the Maintenance Manager position and performs all other duties

  • Computer  proficiency and knowledge of Maintenance Management  Systems.

  • Ability to read technical drawings and to know commissioning procedures
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English
  • Ability to supervise, guide and coordinate
  • Ability to understand complex problems and collaborate with others to provide effective solutions
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 8 years' experience in maintenance  or related  field
