Position Summary

The Marketing Specialist role helps achieve a core function of the KAUST Innovation mission by scaling up entrepreneurship program reach. In this role, you will work closely with the Marketing & Outreach team, Entrepreneurship teams, corporate partners, and startup founders to provide the marketing assistance needed to develop and support our entrepreneurship programs.

Major Responsibilities

Lead marketing campaigns and promotional activities for the KAUST Entrepreneurship Center and KAUST Innovation Fund programs.

Deliver end-to-end marketing campaigns including the execution of email marketing, social media, website and landing pages, ads, blogs, and videos.

Work closely with startups to ensure their early-stage marketing needs are met and assets delivered.

Collaborate with the Entrepreneurship Center and Innovation Fund teams to stay updated on progress of programs.

Coordinate startup marketing assets including logos, case studies, videos and testimonials, using CRM and other database tools.

Work closely with corporate partners to ensure marketing needs are met and assets delivered. 

Analyze the MENA and global entrepreneurship and accelerator markets to generate and execute innovative marketing strategies.

Assist in the promotion of internal and external entrepreneurship events.

Support the KAUST and Innovation brand social media and PR strategies with assets and communication related to the entrepreneurship programs.

Other duties as designated by the Marketing & Outreach Manager and VP Innovation and Economic Development.


Strong background in marketing, including social media and content creation.

High-impact personality with excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

Agile thinker, entrepreneurship-minded, motivated and results-focused.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects independently and complete them on a timely basis.

Excellent planning, organizational skills and attention to detail.

Creative sense of graphic design and multimedia.

Able and committed to turn out a high volume of work on a weekly basis.



Undergraduate degree in Marketing or related field with minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing or communications.

Strong English writing skills for business, technical and creative audiences.

Experience crafting product or program communications, including pitch decks, proposal presentations, sell sheets, etc.

Experience collaborating with multiple departments (marketing, sales, operations, etc.)

Experience with client management or consulting.

Experience writing and publishing social media and other communications messages including blogs and articles.

Working knowledge of word processing, desktop publishing, PowerPoint presentations software, database management, and spreadsheet applications.


Experience working for a marketing agency, entrepreneurship program, or high-growth startup preferred.

Bilingual in Arabic / English.

Experienced in content marketing (blogs, audio, video).
