Business Analyst
The Business Analyst is responsible for a full range of activities to ensure the operational effectiveness of reporting with SAP. Responsibilities include but are not limited to running complex queries and generating management information reports.  A key focus should be around the standardization and automation of all reports.  This position also requires the Analyst to ensure a high level of service quality and accuracy whilst overseeing and handling various customer queries.
  • Produce regular and ad hoc reports for the Vice President of Human Resources and also to other HR customers across KAUST.
  • Implement effective mechanism for gathering multiple data from different systems, analyze it and present it correctly using charts, graphs and trend analysis.
  • Through appropriate tools such as MS Applications and SAP modules, provide reports to management and other departments as required/requested.
  • Automate reports using appropriate tools, with pre-defined frequencies of generation and distribution.
  • Assist in the preparation of user requirements for changes in existing systems or development of new systems.
  • Present report data in a way that is meaningful, readily accessible to staff and end users.
  • Monitor the performance of reports and take corrective action to optimize or improve the reports when necessary.
  • Assist with regular budget reviews and re-forecasting process, expenditure forecasting and monitoring expenditure against budgets.
  • Review and where necessary, implement improved business processes for HR Department.
  • Implement robust processes to ensure that a high quality service is provided to both internal and external customers.
  • Work with IT on any future developments of SAP HR module

  • Advanced technical ability in Business Intelligence, Management Information Systems, and in MS Office applications, in particular Excel at an advanced level.
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize databases and other administrative programs used by KAUST.
  • Ability to use SAP HR/HCM Module and other data sources to produce executive dashboard reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, meet conflicting deadlines and to develop and prioritize complex projects while working under pressure.
  • Capable of dealing with a broad range of work (complex and non-routine) in a variety of environments.
  • Able to plan, schedule and monitor own work (and that of others where applicable) competently within limited deadlines and according to relevant legislation and procedures.
  • Able to take the initiative in identifying and negotiating appropriate development opportunities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, sensitivity and confidentiality.
  • Excellent English (written and Spoken) with the ability to present at senior level.
  • Cross cultural sensitivity and awareness.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, MIS, Computer Engineering, or similar degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Business, Data or System Analyst role.
