Hours of work: 14.5 hours per week, Start: As soon as possible
The Centre for Educational Enhancement and Development (CEED) requires a part-time Student Developer to join CEED’s Education and Student Development team and report to CEED’s Director. This is a fixed-term post for a period of 12 months.
The role holder will have responsibility for elements of academic, professional and organisational development in CEED’s student-facing service. In particular, on the academic side, the role holder will provide specific support for a number of Schools and programmes in developing a range of study skills. On the professional side, the role-holder will lead the delivery of a professional skills programme in the local high school and contribute to skill development in students with representative roles. In terms of organisational development, the role-holder will contribute to the University’s excellent student experience and work on projects including the transitions of students into, through, and out of Higher Education.
Applicants should be educated to degree level and have a good working knowledge and experience of professional development and Higher Education teaching practices including development needs analysis, event design, delivery and evaluation. They should also have excellent communication, presentation, team-working, time and project management skills. Training will be provided on requisite IT systems.
The hours of work are 14.5 per week, which can be worked flexibly.
