Research engineer in scientific computing (M/F)

The research engineer will be responsible for the design, development and adaptation of the :
- programming in Java RCP within the GAMA platform,
- programming in GAML,
- numerical calculation,
- optimization of shortest path calculations under CUDA,
- integration of simulation with SUMO
- client/server communication protocol optimisation
- deployment of docker containers
- implementation of models in Unity
- exploration and calibration of models in OpenMole.
The implementation will be done with the GAMA platform for which he may have to develop specific libraries.

As part of the RIN ESCAPE-Serious Game project, one of the objectives is to develop a software platform that will allow the testing of city evacuation scenarios in different crisis contexts, the research engineer in scientific computing will provide expertise in the use of computer programming methods. He/she will participate in the design and implementation of the agent models in the ESCAPE-SG programme.

UMR CNRS IDEES is a multidisciplinary and multi-site (Caen, Le Havre and Rouen) research laboratory in social and human sciences. UMR IDEES brings together about 120 researchers in specialities recognised in France and internationally such as modelling and spatial analysis, transport and port environments, health and risks, information and communication technologies (ICT) and socio-territorial recompositions.
