Student Accommodation Services (SAS) forms part of the Residential and Business Services department (RBS) within the University of St Andrews. SAS administers and manages around 4,300 catered and self-catered student residential places over 17 sites in St Andrews, with an additional 200 students accommodated in our managed and leased properties throughout the town, Leuchars, Dundee and North East fife.  

This is an exciting opportunity to join the University's SAS department working with the small accommodation team.  

Working closely with the Accommodation Manager, you will undertake a range of duties in connection with the allocation of students into University accommodation. Other duties will include day-to-day management of the administrative team, the management and update of the departmental website, processing accommodation invoices, deputising for the Accommodation Manager in their absence as well as assisting the administrative team with incoming office enquiries.       

To be considered for this position you must have a flexible working approach coupled with excellent IT, administrative, interpersonal and team working skills. As Deputy Accommodation Manager, you will need to have extensive knowledge of a range of standard software packages (MS Word, Excel, Teams, outlook, internet etc.). It is equally important that you have first class communication skills, both oral and written, and an excellent telephone manner. You will be expected to be proactive, positive and organised with a strong customer-orientated focus. In this role you must pay high attention to detail and have the ability to perform under pressure.
