We invite a researcher for the project "Promising quantitative technologies in magnetic resonance imaging for determining the stages of inflammation and fibrosis as disease markers." The main goal is to develop quantitative MRI methods and provide translational support for their use in clinical practice. One of the tasks in the project is to develop special methods and protocols of quantitative MRI for early detection and control of inflammation and fibrosis in certain organs.

Responsibilities:

  • leading and organizing work on the development and implementation of advanced protocols and methods of quantitative MRI for solving scientific tasks in medical diagnostics;
  • close collaboration with medical professionals;
  • supervising Bachelor’s and Master’s students, and PhD students;
  • publishing scientific papers;
  • giving talks at conferences;
  • attracting financing (submitting for grants, searching for partners) individually and together with colleagues;
  • participation in educational activities;
  • active participation in the life of the Faculty, for example, organization of summer schools and events for students and PhD students.

Requirements:

  • A PhD degree (or a Russian Candidate of Sciences degree in physics and mathematics or engineering);
  • publication activity in international peer-reviewed journals in the area of medical imaging and related fields;
  • experience of design and optimization of MR protocols;
  • programming skills (Matlab/Python/C++ and analogues);
  • practical work experience with an MRI scanner;
  • experience of presenting at conferences;
  • knowledge of English: B2 (Upper-Intermediate) or a higher level;
  • information analysis skills and decision-making skills;
  • being proactive;
  • well-developed communication skills.

This would be an additional advantage:

  • publications in high-rated journals (IF > 3), including as a first author;
  • education in the area of medical physics;
  • experience in submitting for grants and managing grants;
  • personal scholarships, awards, certificates of short-term exchange programs;
  • experience of teaching or supervising students in research;
  • work experience abroad;
  • work experience in the field of medical imaging (in a health care institution or company).
