Job description : physico-chemical characterization of intelligent systems based on carbon nanostructures, cyclodextrins and peptides; physico-chemical characterization of nanoformulations for biomedical use based on carbon nanostructures.

Skills/Qualifications

• The candidate must have completed higher education, including a bachelor's and master's degree, in the fields of chemistry/chemical engineering/bioengineering;
• The candidate holds a doctor's degree in one of the previously mentioned fields and meet the criteria for being classified as a “post-doctoral researcher” as defined in Instruction no. 2260/15.11.2023 regarding the clarification of the definition of “post-doctoral researcher” within projects related to the investments of Component 9 “Support for the private sector, Research, Development and Innovation” of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan issued by the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitization: “the person who, on the date of the call, holds a doctor's degree and has experience in research of no more than 8 years full-time equivalent, from the date of the first doctoral degree, but not exceeding 10 years full-time equivalent under the conditions provided by the European Research Executive Agency (REA)”. *The date of the call refers to the date launch of the PNRR-III-C9-2022-I8 call, namely 15.09.2022. **If the doctoral degree was awarded by ministerial order, the date of the ministerial order shall be taken into account, otherwise the date indicated on the diploma shall be taken into account;

Specific Requirements

• The candidate must possess experience in materials physico-chemical characterization techniques through: electrochemical methods, UV-Vis spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, etc.;
• The candidate must possess skills in processing and presenting research findings;
• The candidate should have prior experience in preparing drafts/manuscripts for publication in scientific journals and in writing national/international project proposals The applicant is required to have a minimum of 5 publications published in journals that have an ISI impact factor;
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally;
• Must possess motivation and creativity, along with advanced communication and teamwork abilities;
• Practical knowledge of computer software (Word, Excel, Power Point) is required. Familiarity with ChemDraw, Origin, ImageJ is considered an advantage.

Eligibility criteria

General requirements for candidates:

• The candidate must hold Romanian citizenship, citizenship of other European Union member states, or citizenship of states belonging to the European Economic Area or citizenship of the Swiss Confederation;
• The candidate knows Romanian and/or English - written and spoken;
• The candidate has full exercise capacity;
• The candidate has a state of health corresponding to the position for which he/she is applying;
• The candidate is medically fit;
• The candidate is available for full-time employment for a fixed period.

Selection process

The enrolment file must contain the documents provided by art. 15 alin. (6) from Law no. 319/2003 regarding the Statute of research and development personnel and the legislation in force, namely:

• The candidate must submit a formal request addressed to the ICMPP management by which he requests the registration in the competition for filling the vacant position, dated and signed by the candidate, approved by the director of the institute and registered within the legal registration deadline;
• Copy of identity document and copies of documents certifying the change of name, if applicable;
• Copies of the documents certifying the candidate's studies: bachelor's and/or master's degree accompanied by the transcript (academic reports or diploma supplement);
• Copy of the doctor's degree or the order of the Minister of Education regarding the award of the doctor's degree;
• Diplomas obtained in other states must be recognized by the National Council for Attestation of University Titles, Diplomas and Certificates (CNATDCU);
• Curriculum vitae adapted to employment requirements;
• List of scientific contributions accompanied by evidence (where applicable);
• Cover letter (free format) in which to indicate the research areas of interest and the motivation for applying for the position;
• Medical certificate in original, attesting clearly the state of health, the number, date, name of the issuer and its quality, in the standard format established by the Ministry of Health;
• Criminal record or declaration on his own responsibility that he/she has no criminal convictions that would make him/her incompatible with the position for which he/she is applying, with the completion of the competition file (up to the date of the first competition test) with the original criminal record.
