Position: Scientific Research Assistant within the POC CeCBiD-EOSC project, “Cloud and Big Data Center for participation in the European Cloud for Open Science (CeCBiD-EOSC)", SMIS code 124405 (http://cecbid-eosc.ifin.ro/ ).

“Horia Hulubei” National Institute for Research and Development in Physics and Nuclear Engineering, Department of Computational Physics and Information Technology, is hiring one Scientific Research Assistant for a definite duration, until 31.05.2023, with the norm of 4 hours per day, within the POC CeCBiD-EOSC project.

Main responsibilities:

  • Contributions to the development of software applications that use machine learning for the analysis of massive data produced by experimental devices;
  • Contributions to the development of software applications to support modeling and simulation of complex nanostructures;

Requirements for filling the position:

  • Master’s degree or doctoral programme student in computational physics, materials/condensed matter physics
  • Knowledge of the English language, at least intermediate level;
  • Work experience with the SIESTA program;
  • Work experience with the Python language.
