Offer Description

In order to comply with the contractual clauses of the PNRR project with the contract number 760059 / 23.05.2023, code CF197 / 28.11.2022 and the title "Improving endogenous anti-oxidant and cholesterol removal potential through gene editing in fatty liver disease; pre-clinical studies", ICBP "Nicolae Simionescu" announces the organization of a competition for fixed-term employment on the following research positions:

• Scientific research assistant, PhD student, full-time (8 hours/day), fixed-term (February 2024-June 2026) – 2 positions

Skills/Qualifications

Minimal requirements:

  • Higher education in bio-medical fields (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Veterinary Medicine, Biophysics) and Master's degree in bio-medical fields (or in the last year of post-graduate studies);
  • Basic knowledge in biochemistry, cell and molecular biology techniques;
  • Knowledge of English, at least medium level.

    Duties of the position of PhD student scientific research assistant:

    • Biochemistry, cell cultures and molecular biology techniques, in vivo experimental models.

    Eligibility criteria

    Interview themes:

    • Metabolic diseases, general aspects: fatty liver disease (NAFLD), diabetes
    • Biochemistry techniques: qualitative and quantitative analysis of proteins (electrophoresis, methods for determining protein concentration, immunoblot)
    • Cell biology techniques: cell cultures, cell protein expression (immunofluorescence)
    • Molecular biology techniques: gene expression analysis (RT-qPCR)

    Selection process

    The contest programme:

    • 22.01.2024 – publication of the announcement;
    • 23 - 26.01.2024 – submission of applications;
    • 29.01.2024 – displaying the selection of files at 10h00, filing appeals until 13h00 and displaying the results of solving appeals until 15h00;
    • 30.01.2024 – holding the interview test at 10h00, displaying the results of the interview test until 15:00;
    • 31.01.2024 – submission of appeals of the interview test until 10h00 and display of the results of solving appeals until 13:00 and display of final results.
