Offer Description
NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT IN MATERIALS PHYSICS (INCDFM), with headquarters in Măgurele, Atomiștilor str., nr.405A, jud. Ilfov, organizes a competition for the position of Project Director within the project 3D MAGNETIC NANOSTRUCTURES FOR ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES, project funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan Call no. PNRR-III-C9-2022 - I8.
The project is ongoing from 01.07.2023 and will end on 30.06.2026.
The applicant must meet the specific requirements of the Applicant Guide-PNRR, Component 9, I8-Development of a programme for attracting highly specialised human resources from abroad in research, development, innovation activities as well as the provisions of the Instruction 1632/14.09.2023 on the procedure for the replacement of the Project Manager under the Call for Projects PNRR-III-C9-2022-I8 and PNRR-III-C9-2023-8-Round II.
Specific applicant requirements
- The applicant must have a university degree in Physics.
- The applicant must have experience in the field of expertise of the project.
- The researcher who will be the Project Director must have a PhD, having obtained his/her PhD at least 3 years before the date of the selection procedure. If the doctoral degree was awarded by ministerial order, the date of the ministerial order will be taken into account, otherwise the date indicated on the diploma will be taken into account.
- The researcher who will be the Project Director has conducted at least one research and development project in the 7 years preceding the date of the selection procedure;
- Is a researcher whose institution is located outside Romania and who has carried out research activities outside Romania at least in the last 3 years prior to the date of the selection procedure;
- has published in the last 7 years prior to the date of the organisation of the selection procedure, as the main author:
o At least 8 papers (framed by paper/document type article, review or proceedings paper) published in Science Citation Index Expanded journals, ranked among the top 50% (quartile Q1 or quartile Q2) within a subfield/Web of Science Category established by Clarivate Analytics.
Of the 8 papers, at least 4 papers are in the top 25% (Q1 by Journal Impact Factor (JIF) or Article Influence score (AIS)) within a subdomain/Web of Science Category established by Clarivate Analytics.
Notes: The most favorable quartiles(Q) corresponding to the scientometric indicators Journal Impact Factor (JIF) or Article Influence Score (AIS) from the latest Journal Citation reports(JCR) available at the time of selection are considered.
For the presentation of the 8 articles, the following information is provided: authors, title of the article, name of the journal, volume, pages, year of publication, category (quartile, percentile) and DOI.
The applicant will submit supporting documents regarding the fulfilment of the requirements according to this call and the requirements of the reference documents presented below.

Posting of the results concerning the eligibility of the candidates registered: 23.05.2024
Interview: 24.05.2024
Display of results and preparation of the interim report by the selection committee: 27.05.2024
Submission of appeals: 28.05.2024
Decision on appeals: 30.05.2024
Posting of the reply to appeals: 30.05.2024
Display of final results and final report of the selection panel: 31.05.2024
Employment will be on a fixed-term individual employment contract of 6 hours/day until 30.06.2026
