Assistant professor position 82 (determined duration of 3 years), at the Department of Administration and Public Management, includes didactic and research activities specific to the disciplines included in the academic load.  For the didactic part, the position consists of three subjects: Introduction to public administration, Organizational theories, Public management. At the same time, the job description also provides for 1292 hours of other activities, distributed as follows: Didactic activities 700 hours, Scientific activities / artistic creation / sports performance 292 hours and Civic activities 300 hours.

Candidates must have skills and must already have scientific results in the fields and research areas related to the position.
According to the methodology for filling positions within the UBB, candidates for a fixed-term assistant position must at least hold the status of a doctoral student, certified by the institute of doctoral studies within a higher education institution accredited for postgraduate studies of doctorate. For this position, it is required that the doctoral field is administrative sciences.
To occupy the positions of university assistant and CS, it is necessary to fulfill one of the following alternative scientific criteria: - a) the quality of author/co-author of a number of 4 scientific works (articles/chapters in books/books) indexed in recognized international databases (for articles) or published in prestigious publishing houses from the country or abroad (for chapters/books); for at least two works the candidate must be the main author; b) the quality of author/co-author of a Science or Nature publication or the main author of a publication located in the Top 10 in the field; as scientometric references the influence score of the article is used cf. WoS - Journal Citation Report, and for the humanities fields the categories from the Art & Humanities area are used, according to SCimago Journal Rank; the influence score refers to the year of publication; c) for the social and humanities fields, one of the following alternatives: the quality of author or co-author of a book/ author or co-author of a number of two scientific chapters in collective volumes (one of which as the main author); only chapters and books indexed in the Book Citation Index (WoS) or available in at least 50 libraries indexed in the international catalog Karlsruher Virtueller Katalog (KVK) will be considered. Note 1: Starting with the academic year 2022 - 2023, the text "indexed in recognized international databases" will be replaced by the wording "indexed in WoS/Scopus/ErihPlus". Note 2: The quality of the main author is defined according to the standards of each field. The teaching language of the subjects included in the position is Romanian.

Eligibility criteria

PhD candidate or PhD title in the field of administrative sciences 

Minimum number of publications in the field of administrative sciences as specified in the UBB rules (it depends on which route the candidate is selecting)   

Selection process

The oral exam consists of the presentation of a seminar project, in which candidates must also demonstrate applied research skills. The competition commission determines the theme of the presentation based on the competition theme and bibliography and announces it to the candidate/candidates 48 hours before this test. The support of the project will be held in Romanian (45 minutes). The examination of each candidate will end with a question and answer session in Romanian (15 minutes).
The written test will include 2 subjects with equal weight in the final grade. The competition commission determines the 2 subjects based on the competition theme and announces them to the candidates when the written test starts. The written test lasts 2 hours.
