The position of assistant professor 83 (determined duration of 3 years), at the Department of Administration and Public Management, includes teaching and research activities specific to the disciplines included in the basic norm. For the didactic part, the post is composed of five subjects: Constitutional system and political institutions in Romania, Law for public administration, Administrative law, Civil status acts and administrative procedures and Labor law. At the same time, the job description provides for 1278 hours of other activities, distributed as follows: Didactic activities 700 hours, Scientific activities / artistic creation / sports performance 300 hours and Civic activities 278 hours.

- Candidates must have skills and must to already have scientific results in the fields and areas of
job related research.
- According to the methodology for occupation positions within UBB, candidates for a position of fixed-term university assistant must
must have at least the status of a student PhD student, certified by the Institute of Doctoral Studies from
within an accredited higher education institution for doctoral postgraduate studies. For this post it is required that the PhD field be sciences
legal or administrative sciences.
- To occupy the positions of university assistant and CS, it is necessary to fulfill one of
the following alternative scientific criteria: - a) the quality of author/co-author of a number of 4 scientific works (articles/book chapters/books)
indexed in recognized international databases (for articles) or published in prestigious publishing houses from country or abroad (for chapters/books); for the one the candidate must be the author of at least two papers main; b) the quality of author/co-author of a publication Science or Nature or lead author of one publications located in the Top 10 in the field; as references  scientometrics, the influence score is used of the article cf. WoS - Journal Citation Report, and for the humanities fields use the categories from the area of Art
& Humanities, according to SCimago Journal Rank; the score of influence refers to the year of publication; c) for
social and humanistic fields, one of the following alternatives: authorship or co-authorship of a book/
author or co-author of two chapters scientific in collective volumes (one of which as author main); only chapters and
the books indexed in the Book Citation Index (WoS) or available in at least 50 libraries indexed in the international catalog Karlsruher Virtueller Katalog (KVK). Note 1: Starting with the academic year 2022 - 2023, the text "indexed in recognized international databases" will
be replaced by the wording "indexed in WoS/Scopus/ErihPlus".
Note 2: The quality of main author is defined according to standards of each field
Teaching languages of the subjects in the composition of the post is Hungarian and Romanian.
Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of these languages, through the documents submitted to the file (a certificate of
language competence or certificates certifying studies in that country/language for a cumulative duration of at least 9 months) and by taking the oral test before the commission competition in these languages.

Eligibility criteria

PhD candidate or PhD title in the field of administrative sciences or juridical sciences 

Minimum number of publications in the field of administrative sciences as specified in the UBB rules (it depends on which route the candidate is selecting)   

Selection process

The oral exam consists of the presentation of a seminar project, in which candidates must also demonstrate applied research skills. The competition commission determines the theme of the presentation based on the competition theme and bibliography and announces it to the candidate/candidates 48 hours before this test. The support of the project will be held in Romanian (45 minutes). The examination of each candidate will end with a question and answer session in Romanian (15 minutes).
The written test will include 2 subjects with equal weight in the final grade. The competition commission determines the 2 subjects based on the competition theme and announces them to the candidates when the written test starts. The written test lasts 2 hours.
