By order issued by the Director General of the Telecommunications Institute on March 04, 2024, it was approved to open an international call to select 1 (one) position of Support Technician for the Execution of Funded Projects, in the scope of the project INTERFACE, INVESTIMENTO RE-C05-I02 – MISSÃO INTERFACE COM O N.º 03/C05-I02/2022 under the scope of an indefinite term working contract, overseen by the Portuguese legal Work Code, in view of the execution of the following tasks:

  • Control of the technical and financial execution of funded projects;
  • Preparation of financial execution maps for projects;
  • Preparation and maintenance of the project execution dossier;
  • Preparation and submission of payment requests;
  • Preparation of financial execution reports and systematization of technical project reports;
  • Support for the preparation of applications for new projects, in the financial component.

Applicable Legislation:

  • Labour Code, approved by Law no. 7/2009, of 12 February, in its current reading.

The workplace shall be at Instituto de Telecomunicações, Polo de Aveiro, Campus Universitário de Santiago, 3810-193 Aveiro.

Formalisation of applications:

Applications are formalised by sending a Motivation Letter, addressed to the Board of Instituto de Telecomunicações, including this announcement identification, full name, parents’ names, ID card, or Citizen Card number and date, or civil identification number, taxpayer ID number, date and place of birth, marital status, occupation, residence and contact address, including email address and telephone.

Applications shall include all supported documents encompassed by section 6 and 7 for tender admission, namely:

  • Copy of certificate or diploma; *

    Benefits

    The monthly salary to be awarded will depend on the candidate's academic degree and experience and will be based on 1,649.15 euros.


    Eligibility criteria

    Any national, foreign and stateless candidate(s) holding a master's or bachelor's degree in the areas of engineering, management, economics and accounting, or similar scientific area, and a suitable scientific and professional curriculum may submit an application. In case the degree has been awarded by a foreign higher education institution, the degree must comply with the provisions of Decree-Law no. 341/2007 of 12th of October, and all formalities established therein must be fulfilled, by the selected candidate, until the date of signature of the contract.


    Selection process

    The selection panel shall be Dr. José Marcelino Pousa (President), Eng.º Pedro Jorge Rocha Pinheiro da Silva and Eng.º Daniel Filipe Fernandes Martins Pôças, and by Dr.ª Cláudia Marina Mónica de Oliveira Barbosa as substitute member.

    The evaluation of the scientific and curricular career has two components, namely:

    i) The assessment of the curriculum vitae and other documentation submitted, and their suitability for the duties to be performed, taking into account what is described in points 1, 6 and 7 of this notice. This component of the assessment is expressed on a numerical scale from 0 to 20, taking into account in-depth knowledge of the subjects and technical ability to perform the duties mentioned in point 1 of this notice (Criterion A);

    ii) Candidates with a score above 14 in the previous component will be invited to an interview, where they will be asked to discuss their experience. The evaluation of the presentation session is expressed on a numerical scale from 0 to 20, and should take into account the technical knowledge and communication skills demonstrated by the candidate, as well as the answers to the questions posed by the jury (Criterion B).

    The score awarded by each member of the jury is obtained using the following formula: (Criterion A score) x 0.75 + (Criterion B score) x 0.25. Candidates with a score of less than 14 in Criterion A will be awarded a final mark in accordance with the above and 0 (zero) in Criterion B.

    The list of admitted and excluded candidates and the final ranking list will be sent to all candidates by email.
