Summary: A research position for 1 (one) Research Grant (“Bolsa de Iniciação à Investigação”) is open at SOCIUS – Research Centre in Economic and Organizational Sociology, from ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management, in the scope of the project AGORARISK - Dialogue sur les risques et l’environnement à Estarreja, funded by the CNRS through OHM Estarreja (https://www.driihm.fr/projets/projets-2020/details/149/2303 ).

Group: Science, Technology and Strategy

Admission Requirements: University students enrolled in a first cycle of higher education, in an integrated master, or professional higher technical course in the areas of Computer Science, with great-motivation, ability for teamwork and fluency in french. Background and experience in webdesign (Html, Javascript) will be valued.

Work Objectives: The goal of this work is to contribute to the design of the digital tools and implementation of the digital process of the project.

Place of work: The work will be developed at SOCIUS/ISEG, under the supervision of Professora Sofia Bento.

Duration: 1 month, with the possibility of renewal. Start date: November2021 or soon thereafter.

Monthly Stipends: 446,12€ according to the table of grant amounts awarded directly by the Portuguese national funding agency for science, research and technology (FCT). The payment will be made by bank transfer.

Selection criteria:

C1 (50%) - Curriculum vitae/Academic evaluation

C2 (50%) - Suitability of the candidates’ profile to the project based on admission requirements and relevant experience

Each criteria, and the final classification will be evaluated in a scale (0-20). The candidates will be ordered according to:

F = C1 x 50% + C2 x 50%

In case of a tie, the tied candidates will be ordered according to C1, then C2.

The jury has the right to not admit any of the applicants, whenever they consider that their application fails to meet the admission requirements.

The jury reserves the right to not select applicants if the applicants do not have the adequate quality and profile.

Required Documents: a) Motivation letter explaining the interest in the position; b) Detailed Curriculum Vitae with transcripts; c) degree certificate; and d) proof of enrollment in a higher education course.
