Plan and objectives:
1. Support for research carried out in the research project LUCO - Urban Collaborative Laboratory for Monitoring Land Use, Planning and Sustainable Development, as part of an interdisciplinary research team on the transformation of urban land use in Maputo (designing and setting up monitoring indicators, collecting, processing and analyzing data).
2. Construction and implementation of a research-oriented PhD project by LUCO - Urban Collaborative Laboratory for Monitoring Land Use, Planning and Sustainable Development. The scientific supervision of the fellow will be ensured by a PhD researcher of the LUCO project - Collaborative Urban Laboratory for the Monitoring of Land Use, Planning and Sustainable Development. The skills acquired in point 1 will be essential for achieving what is foreseen in this point 2.
3. Collaboration in the project's outputs, namely in the publication of scientific articles, technical documents and other dissemination and dissemination activities.
Duration of fellowship:
The fellowship will last for 12 months, starting on September 1, 2022. The fellowship contract may be renewed for a maximum of 24 months.
Submission of applications:
Applications must be formalized, mandatorily, by sending an application letter accompanied by the following documents:
i) Curriculum Vitae;
ii) Certificate of the academic degrees held, specifying obligatorily the final classification;
iii) Letter of motivation;
iv) Declaration under oath that, with the conclusion of the grant agreement in question, an accumulated period of one year in this type of grant, consecutive or interpolated, does not exceed, and that he has not already been a beneficiary of any other direct or interpolated research grant. indirectly financed by the FCT;
v) Other documents considered relevant for the evaluation of the application
In the case of academic degrees obtained in foreign higher education institutions, it is necessary to present the recognition of the degrees obtained, in accordance with DL No. 66/2018, of 16 August; or, in the absence of recognition at the time of application, declaration under oath that this recognition will be made before contracting the Scholarship in case of being the selected candidate. However, it is mandatory to present the recognition until the time of contracting the scholarship.
